I looked at three different devices, here are all the labels.

We are learning to make an volcanic eruption with baking soda and vinegar.

Today in science my class and I did a experiment on volcanic eruption. We used a measuring tube a, beaker and a eye dropper. We tip a certain amount of vinegar into the beaker.  Then we used the eye dropper to fill the measuring tube up to 5 mm, after that, add a small amount of baking soda and that will cause a volcanic eruption.

A  real volcanic eruption will explode lava or magma, this lava or magma that comes out of the volcano is from the mantel, the mantel is the source of all earth volcanic eruptions.

Dear Mum, my trip to Tundra was an amazing experience. On my trip to Tundra, I learned that Tundra animals tend to have small ears and tails. Some also tend to have large feet to walk on the snow.

I learned a lot from tundra like flowers grow in tight groups to keep the warmth. Everything was so nice over there, but there was one thing that I hated the most in tundra was the cold, did you know that it can go 60 degrees F.  Tundra was a great experience.

Our your blog tell us whether you think logging should be allowed in New Zealand. Be sure to provide at least two reasons to support your argument.

I think New Zealand should not allow loggers because when they cut down the trees they not only affect the precious animals but it affects the oxygen for humans.

Loggers should only cut a little number of trees so the animals still have a place to live, a home.

Summer learning Journey Activity 2: Pancakes and Maple Syrup? [4 points]

For this activity you are asked to choose one of your favourite foods. On your blog, write the name of your favourite food and then tell us how to make it. You may need to ask a family member, friend or Google (!) for help, if you do not normally make this food for yourself.

My favorite food is eggs on toast because it smells nice, looks nice and best of all taste nice.

Stuff you will be needing to make eggs on toast: 

• Toaster
• Eggs
• frying pan
• bread
• Option-Butter on toast

How to make eggs on toast:

Fry the eggs for about 2-3 minutes, after frying the eggs put it some where it will stay hot, then get out the toaster and grab out some bread and start toasting you bread, if you don't have a toaster just fry it or bake it.  

After toasting you bread, take out the eggs get the toast and put the egg on the toast and there, you have just made my favorite food eggs on toast. Enjoy. :)

If I met Sir Edmund Hillary I would ask him:

Summer learning Journey Activity 3: The WWF: World Wildlife Fund [10 points]

Once you have watched the video, go to your blog and, using full sentences, tell us:
1) The name of the animal the WWF is working to save.
2) What the WWF is doing to help the animal.

3) What, if any, success they have had protecting the animal.

First clip:  They are working to save seals. The WWF are help by building snow banks for the seals. The seals make there snow bank to give birth so every now and then they check the snow banks but if theirs nothing there, there could be a chance the baby was born out of the snow bank where predators live and human disturbance, so if theirs a baby they know they have succeed.

Second clip: WWF are saving the tigers, they help the tigers by donating, searching for them and also saying "it doesn't madder where you are you can still help protect them", also when they make the trap unable to catch the tiger. When the tiger is caught on their camera they know they have succeeded in protecting it.

On your blog list three pros (good things) and three cons (bad things) about working as a DOC ranger. At the bottom of your post, tell us whether you would like to be a DOC Ranger or not.

The good things of being a DOC

• The first good thing about being a DOC is because you can look after animals.
• Another good thing about being a DOC is you can be able to have access to one of the most rare animal in New Zealand.
• The third, your helping the animal population of New Zealand.

The Bad things of being a DOC

• The first you have to stay on an island and you can't see family as much anymore
• The second your not allowed to give anyone any access to the rare animal.
• The third you might feed it the wrong thing and there might be a natural disaster that wipes all the animals out and you can't do anything to help them.

Summer learning Journey Activity 1: Fantastic Beasts [4 points]

My beast is called Rinosaur, it feels very soft when you relax your hands on it but when you punch it or do anything that threatens it makes the Rinosaurs tenses it's body and makes every body part feels harder than a rock.

It looks like a beast with to big horns in front and purple skin, has a body 2 times a normal adult rhino and 3 times stronger, it looks like an elephant but with 2 huge horns. It smells better than anything you can imagine, it sounds like a trumpet to scare anything away.   

On your blog, post a description of your beast. Use interesting adjectives (describing words) to tell us about your beast.

On your blog list three sports teams that have the word ‘fern’ in their title. Beside each team’s name, post a picture of their uniform. Then, at the bottom of your blog post tell us which of the three uniforms you like best and why.

My favorite one out of these three uniform is the Black ferns uniform because it reminded me of the All Blacks and its also good looking, and for my opinion I think it represents New Zealand the most .

My hometown is Auckland city the most populated city of all in New Zealand.
I think Auckland is a great place to live, theirs are lots of beautiful places to go like visiting Sylvia park, the museum, Zoo and many more. I'm very grateful for living in Auckland because there's still plenty of places to see.

These are my fun facts about New Zealand 

 It was the first major nation to have universal suffrage. In 1893 all male and female citizens are legally allowed to vote.

New Zealanders are also called kiwis but kiwi is not a fruit. It is New Zealand’s native flightless bird.

The Maori name of New Zealand is Aotearoa which means the land of the long white cloud.

Last day at Tech

Some of the room 7 students are cooking Sausages with cheese and Chips


Step one - Slice the sausages in half.

Step two - Top up wit cheese and tomatoes.

Step three - Bake for 10mins

Step four - Serve with tomato sauce.

Cooking at Tech

Today in cooking Pele and I made brownies.

Materials:
Table spoon
teaspoon
measuring cup
microwave
cup

ingredients:
Plain flower
butter
coconut flakes
baking powder
brown sugar
coco powder
vanilla essence

They way we made it:
Step 1 - 1 cup of plain flower
- 1 tsp of baking powder

Step 2 - 1/4 cup of cocoa
- 2 tsp coconut

step 3 - 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 125g butter c melted microwave 1 mins 10 secs

Step 4 - 1 egg
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
