Summer learning Journey Activity 2: Pancakes and Maple Syrup? [4 points]

For this activity you are asked to choose one of your favourite foods. On your blog, write the name of your favourite food and then tell us how to make it. You may need to ask a family member, friend or Google (!) for help, if you do not normally make this food for yourself.

My favorite food is eggs on toast because it smells nice, looks nice and best of all taste nice.
Stuff you will be needing to make eggs on toast:
  • Toaster
  • Eggs
  • frying pan
  • bread
  • Option-Butter on toast
How to make eggs on toast:
Fry the eggs for about 2-3 minutes, after frying the eggs put it some where it will stay hot, then get out the toaster and grab out some bread and start toasting you bread, if you don't have a toaster just fry it or bake it.
After toasting you bread, take out the eggs get the toast and put the egg on the toast and there, you have just made my favorite food eggs on toast. Enjoy. :)

  1. Kia ora Fasi and welcome back to the Summer Learning Journey programme for 2018-2019. It is so great to have you back blogging with us again this summer!

Like you, I absolutely love eggs on toast. One of my favourite kinds of eggs is poached eggs. I first had them when I was living in Canada and they have remained a favourite of mine ever since. I have tried making them for myself at home but I can not seem to get it right. I'm going to keep trying but it is really tricky!

When you make eggs on toast, do you put anything on your fried eggs like salt or pepper? One of my friends likes to put ketchup (Canadian tomato sauce) on their eggs. I have tried it once but I am not convinced that it is very delicious. Have you tried it? If not, you may want to give it a go one day!

Speaking of giving things a try, I hope that you will continue to give the Summer Learning Journey programme a go and to post more activities on your blog when you have time. There are 60 activities to choose from, in total, so there should be something that catches your interest!

I hope that you'll have time to post another activity soon. I'll pop back in another few days to check!

In the meantime, keep up the great work. Our team is reading all of your posts and keeping track of the points that you are earning. We will also continue to post comments as we make our way through the summer.

    Bye for now!

    Rachel :)
