Summer learning Journey Activity 3: Weird and Wonderful [10 points]

On your blog, tell us how to solve this maths problem. You can write your answer in words, use a Sketchpad image, or post a video explaining how you would figure it out. Be sure to give us your final answer in millilitres (ml)

Answers - 1095

3 x 365

300 x 3= 900
60 x 3= 180
5 x 3=15
900+180=1080
1080+15= 1095 milliliters

  1. Hi Fasi,

This is Susie from the SLJ team. You have done a great job thinking about the easiest way to solve this multiplication problem.

I can see that you've carefully thought about the place value for the number '365' and divided it into three chunks; 300, 60 and 5!

Your final answer is correct. If we were to put this answer in litres (L), how would you write it down?

    Keep up the good work,
    Susie
